The A11X chip of the next iPad could be an authentic eight-core monster

The iPhone 8 and iPhone X carry an A11 Bionic processor whose performance has already surprised everyone, but this may be just the tip of the iceberg.

MacRumors reflects what is published in a portal called MyDrivers, which indicates that the iPads that will be presented next year may have an eight-core processor.

It would continue with the idea of dividing those cores between those of high and those of low performance, as already happens in the A11 of the current iPhone. There would be five cores for conventional tasks and three for those that require much more work.

And all this with the benefit of the technology of 7 nanometers, which allows placing more transistors in less space.

There would also be a new matching coprocessor that would be responsible for processing the movements of the iPad, in addition to another chip dedicated to the tasks of the neural network and artificial intelligence operations.

Yes, that makes us all scream in unison “Face ID” on the iPad. At least in Pro models.

All these advantages could lead to an iPad whose speeds could literally burst those of the competition. The current iPad Pro appeared in June of last year, so we should see something new or for half a year or for something later.
