It had taken Mark Gurman quite a while to bring us rumors about Apple’s future plans. In the last hours, through a Bloomberg publication, Gurman assured that the iPad will have its biggest redesign next year, that the Face ID will make its debut in the tablet and that this would be the biggest change that iPad would receive since its launch in 2010.

In this way, according to rumors, the iPad that would be presented in 2018 would have a 10.5-inch screen, it would be a Pro version of the device and, like the iPhone X would remove the Home button offering a new experience of Use to those who buy it. Similarly, the tablet would take more advantage of the screen, so it would decrease the edges.

An iPad in the best style of the iPhone X

It is important to bear in mind that, although it would take the appearance of the iPhone X, the next iPad would not have an OLED screen, so Apple could possibly have decided to continue implementing LCD panels.

Of course, with the arrival of the Face ID to the tablet, the animoji would also make their iPad debut, as well as the facial recognition feature to unlock the device and to make payments through Apple Pay.

Gurman also spoke about the possible launch of a new version of Apple Pencil, which would have new sensors and software tools that would make the most of this accessory.
