The Galaxy Note 10 will be priced lower than we expected

We are four days after the presentation of the Galaxy Note 10, a terminal that according to new information will arrive in Europe with a price of 949 euros, a high figure but lower than the previous forecasts ( 1,099 euros ).

We are in a difficult time for the smartphone sector. The falls that have occurred in the second quarter of the year confirm that there are a clear saturation and an extension of the renewal cycles, two problems to which we must add another one, the constant increase in the price of high-end terminals.

Apple has been the great standard-bearer of a trend that Samsung seems willing to break with the price of the Galaxy Note 10, although there is a small nuance that we must take into account, and that next to this terminal will also come the Galaxy Note 10+, a larger version that will have higher specifications and will have, as a consequence, a higher price.

Well, we have said that the Galaxy Note 10 will be priced at 949 euros in Europe, but how much will the Galaxy Note 10+ cost? Well, according to the same source it will cost 1,099 euros. Both models will come with 256 GB of storage capacity, so acquiring them in their base version will not be a problem since the minimum capacity has doubled compared to the 128 GB of the Galaxy Note 9.

In the United States, the price of both terminals will be transferred directly to dollars, which means that the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10+ will cost $ 949 and $ 1,099 respectively, at least in theory.

What will the Galaxy Note 10 offer for that price?

That’s a good question. As we have told you on previous occasions both terminals will maintain a premium finish, that is, they will be built in metal and glass. At the design level, the basic lines of the current generation will be maintained, but we have a more polished, angled design, with a very marked reduction in screen edges and a triple rear camera configuration placed vertically which, in the case of the Galaxy Note 10+, it will be completed with a depth sensor.

Remember that although the presentation of these new smartphones will take place on August 7, their launch will not take place until the 23rd of that month. However, we imagine that pre-purchases will open internationally as soon as they are announced.

Before finishing I remind you that with the launch of this new generation Samsung will abandon the 3.5 mm jack connector, a movement that suggests that it could end up doing the same with the said connector when the arrival of the Galaxy S11 series, scheduled for the end of February next year.

To facilitate the transition that will result in the abandonment of said connector, it is expected that the Galaxy Note 10 series will be accompanied by a USB Type-C to 3.5 mm jack adapter.
