When a long-awaited mobile phone goes on sale, it is common for it to undergo a very exhaustive study and the problems or failures do not take time to appear, but what is not so usual is what is happening with the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. The new smartphones ‘Made by Google’ are at the center of the controversy over the problems detected with the screen of the largest model. Non-uniform brightness, muted colors and the last and most serious: burnt images on the screen, a problem also known as’ burn-in.
As it has registered in the support forums of the Pixel, there are many users complaining about audio problems that would especially affect the Pixel 2, the more compact of the two. In addition, a new problem has also been detected in the XL model screen that blurs the black tones when scrolling.
Clicks, strident sounds, fading colors …
If the Pixel 2 XL screen is talking (not for good), in Pixel 2 it seems that the center of the complaints is the audio. The official product forum already has a fairly long thread in which more than 100 users have confirmed the same problem. Some Pixel 2 play strident clicks and sounds for no apparent reason.
As we said, this problem especially affects the model with a smaller screen, but also some cases have been registered in the Pixel 2 XL, so it would not be exclusive to the normal Pixel 2. There are users who ensure that the click sound is fixed by turning off the NFC, but for the other faults at the moment there is no solution. A brand manager would have confirmed in this forum that they are working on a solution and should arrive next week.

On the other hand, the screen also continues to accumulate criticism. This time comes from Stephen Hall, editor in chief of 9to5Google, who in addition to the problem of burn-in, also has detected a bug that affects some OLED panels and is that some black areas are blurred when moving.
As you can see in the video that you posted to your Twitter account, when you scroll on a page that contains black elements, they fade and seem to be moving up and down. At the moment it is not clear if it is a generalized failure but what is clear is that something happens with the screens of the Pixel 2 XL. Google has said they are investigating the problem, but there is still no official version on the causes of this and other glitches.
