Google confirms and fixes a Pixel 2 XL problem with the edge of its touchscreen

The Google Pixel 2 XL is a terminal with a great design, a spectacular camera, and unrivaled performance. But it is clear that on the chosen screen have not been successful. To the inherent problems of the OLED of LG, now the own Google recognizes an error with the tactile panel of the Pixel 2 XL.

A few users have written in the Google Pixel community that they had problems with their touchscreen when they tried to press around the edges. In the corners and edges of the panel, the Pixel 2 XL has a problem of reliability and lack of tactile response.

This failure is difficult to detect but at the moment that several users have noticed other people have started to test their devices and realizing that many have this small problem. One that fortunately has a solution through the software.

It is not the first problem presented by the Pixel 2 XL and it happens that it is the largest and premium model that is having more problems.

In some videos, it can be seen that through the Display Tester application we can see how these touch panel response problems exist. Around 2mm from the edge, where the panel curves, the screen fails and does not detect many touches.

A problem that does not happen in the rest of the panel where the Pixel 2 XL is incredibly fluid.

Google has recognized the problem and this time, in addition to answering fast, they will also solve it soon. Through an OTA that will be distributed in the coming weeks, this touch panel failure will be corrected.

Perhaps you will also take advantage of this future update to solve other problems that may appear in an excellent mobile with unusual failures in a device of your level.
