At that time it was replaced by the new iPhone 7.
But on the other side of the globe, it is back in the offer, not via Apple directly, because neither the online store nor the stores sell the 2017 Edition.
However, certain East Asian mobile telephony providers such as Taiwan Mobile offer it again in combination with certain tariffs. That it is not old models, you can see the concrete version: It is only in the color gold and only with a memory space of 32 GB to have.

Not the first iPhone with “re-release”

The iPhone 6 represents the most successful iPhone generation to date, even the successor 6s came to not quite as high sales figures.
