When we hear about an Apple Store, it is inevitable that the image of the renowned glass cube in the Fifth Avenue store in New York will come to mind.

The bad news is that, apparently, the Cupertino company would be considering the possibility of dismantling it.

According to MacRumors, Apple will renovate its store to expand its 32,000 square foot underground space to 77,000.

The idea is that this place not only can receive a larger number of tourists but also have a new area for the radio station Beats 1, from where they will conduct live interviews and some acoustic for all shop assistants And Apple Music subscribers.

At the moment it is not clear what will make the signature of Cupertino with the cube, because it could be temporarily removed to allow the construction underneath, or Apple could have in mind a plan of renovation of this emblematic cube.

In addition, this is not the first time the company dismantles the cube. In 2011 it was demolished to be rebuilt with larger glass panels.

Also, in order not to leave users in the area without an Apple store nearby, the company has enabled a temporary Apple Store that will meet the high demand of visitors who receive the site every day.

The restructuring operation this year will begin on May 9 and will cost $ 2 million.
