Apple reduces list of MacBook Pro that accepts to repair graphic problems

You may remember it: Apple started a few years ago a repair program for some MacBook Pro models that showed graphic problems on the screen.

The company thus assumed a defect and repaired it at no cost to the customer if that computer had been purchased on certain dates.

Well, now Apple has reduced the number of computers eligible for that repair program by removing all MacBook Pro models made in 2011.

In fact, only the 15-inch MacBook Pro with retina display will be accepted if the models are Mid-2012 or early 2013.

If you have less than 4 years from your purchase, you are entitled to repair

If you have one of these two generations of MacBook Pro and these present graphic problems on the screen, you can go to the web Apple repair program to see if you are entitled to a repair without cost.
Keep in mind that it also depends on you having bought the computer less than four years ago.

Does that mean that Apple will not repair the older MacBook Pro that has this problem? No, he will continue to repair them, but you will have to pay the cost of that repair out of your pocket.

The program has been active since February 2015, so there has been time to request it.
