Apple launches a section on its website with tips and tricks for families and parental controls

Weeks ago Apple received an open letter from investors asking them to study the possible addition of smartphones by children and teenagers. To this, the company responded by remembering the different parental controls available to iOS and promising to reinforce them soon.

A new section on the Apple website seems to bring us closer to this reinforcement since it focuses precisely on this part of iOS.

In this new section, Apple highlights a series of parental control functions that we currently find in iOS. Thanks to the parents can be aware of what their children do on the iPhone or iPad.

iOS allows us to limit the use of apps by time, by age or even allow downloading only of applications for minors. All these controls we saw at the time in detail.

Apple also highlights important functions of locating people and devices. With Find My iPhone and Find My Friends you can always know where a person is, even from Messages if this option is activated.

Finally, Apple reminds us that FAMILIES allows you to share multimedia content through a single purchase, as well as other interesting iOS options related to Health and Privacy.

With respect to the use of the iPhone and the iPad by minors, each parent or guardian must choose which is the most appropriate way to introduce them to technology.

What is clear is that iOS offers important options to limit this use gradually, it is only up to us to configure these limitations.

In a world full of smartphones, tablets, and computers … rather than considering “with or without technology” we should consider what is the appropriate way to educate in technology.
