A supposed Samurai Edition had been leaked, but the study has completely denied this information.
Everything that surrounds the future of Cyberpunk 2077 is a mystery, apart from the fact that CD Projekt RED plans new updates and a new generation version, which is still planned for the first half of this year 2022.
In the last hours, rumors have emerged on 4Chan about a supposed Samurai Edition. Based on this information, the studio plans a relaunch with multiple playable heart changes. However, Radek Grabowski, PR director of the developer, has emphatically denied it.
The leaked data indicated that Cyberpunk 2077: Samurai Edition was going to be channeled through patch 1.5, with the introduction of a new location, missions, and numerous playable changes. In a response to the official Forbes Twitter account, Grabowski has been clear: “This doesn’t add up. Sorry, Paul” referring to the journalist who covered the leak.
2022, a key year for Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077’s release in late 2020 didn’t go as expected. The title hit the market without meeting expectations, with bugs and serious performance problems, especially on the previous generation base consoles. How could it be otherwise, the response from the players was mostly hostile, so CD Projekt RED was forced to apologize and promise patches in the future.
The intention of the study is to continue improving the product during this year 2022, with an eye on payment expansions and the native version for new generation machines. The creators see this game as a long-term product, but this year it will be important in the face of public opinion.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. It also works on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PS5 through backward compatibility.
