Despite the massive barrage of bugs and bugs and the ensuing fan anger that led to the massive return of copies of Cyberpunk 2077, it appears that CD Projekt Red is refusing to let its employees’ efforts die with this game. And it seems that the Polish company continues to work on the development of a first DLC of totally free additional content, which would arrive during the first months of this year.
This is stated in a publication by NME, who pointed to the first update of the official website for this new content, where we can read since the DLC will arrive in Night City “in early 2021”. This page was launched during the week of December 13, at the same time that the game was launched.
Unfortunately, although the situation has normalized somewhat more, the numerous cyberpunk 2077 date problems are still something really recent, so until this supposed date is reached and we see the launch actually made, the possibility of further delays will continue to be present.
In fact, it never ceases to surprise us that, with a game still in serious need of patches, the Polish developer has decided to risk adding new additional content. And in fact, among its most urgent roadmap are still the two patches that CD Projekt Red promised to address the problems of the versions for the previous generation consoles, scheduled for January and February.
In terms of content, the Cyberpunk 2077 DLC is expected to be rolled out gradually, as was the case with The Witcher 3, which accumulated up to 16 free updates that came out shortly after launch, adding cosmetic improvements, new animations, and some small additional quest lines.
So while many players also wish for an online multiplayer mode, CD Projekt Red has completely ruled out the arrival of this model within the current year for now.
