Gotham Knights, the new game from Warner Bros. Games Montreal, was presented in August last year as part of the DC FanDome. Since then we have had little information about the project, so fans awaiting its debut have any doubts.
Some of them are related to the cooperative multiplayer component and the progression system of the title. In case you don’t remember, the game will allow us to fight as Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin.
Thus, the players wonder if each of the characters will have a different progression. Fortunately, we now know that this element of the game will not be tedious, as the developers work to make it as accessible as possible.
THIS IS HOW THE PROGRESSION AND MULTIPLAYER COMBAT OF GOTHAM KNIGHTS WILL WORK
In an interview with GamesRadar (via Wccftech ) Fleur Marty, executive producer of Gotham Knights, stated that the team will optimize all the role-playing elements of the game as much as possible. This includes the progression system for the 4 protagonists and playable characters.
There is good news for players, as it will not be necessary to collect experience and level up separately for each character. This since all the superheroes will share the progression throughout the campaign.
“Since the story progression is shared between all the characters, it also makes sense that you don’t have to level them up from 0 every time you want to change. It’s also very consistent in terms of our narrative, ”explained Marty.
In addition to the above, the enemies will also increase their power with the progression of the characters; however, there will be no areas that are blocked or prohibitive due to the presence of two powerful enemies.
The producer explained that they completely redesigned the combat system of the title so that the experience works well in cooperative mode. Finally, he stated that some game mechanics will be familiar to fans of the Arkham series; however, the gameplay will be full of novelties.
Gotham Knights are coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC in 2021.
