Last year, Bethesda Softworks announced that Arkan Studios develop the Prey game, a “reboot” of the title in 2006, released by 2K Games.
The story takes place in an alternative future in which US President John F. Kennedy survived the murder in 1963, contributing more funds to the space program.
Thus, the space industry has thrived alarming and people began to colonize other celestial bodies. However, an alien race, Typhon, observing their work, have attacked Earth.
USA and USSR were allied to fight together against the threat and they captured and locked in a space station called Talos I lunar orbit.
American scientists have begun over time expand the station and study specimens in laboratories alien species, that is until an unpleasant incident occurred.
In Prey, a first-person shooter with RPG elements, we will take the role of the astronaut Yu Morgan, with hostile aliens we face. We can change functions and sex of the protagonist, and our decisions will affect the story.
To survive we need to collect and use weapons and resources discovered on the space station. There will be sequences where gravity will float at 0 and we can demonstrate mastery of spatial mechanics.
For a benchmark, Prey can be considered an element of BioShock Dead Space and dishonored.
