Windows Phones Getting GIF Support on Twitter

Those who aren’t using GIFs don’t know how important this feature is for users who spend a lot of time on Twitter, and given the fact that previously only iOS and Android got it, Windows phone owners once again felt left behind.

But starting today, GIF support is available on Windows 10 too, and given the fact that the official client is available on this operating system as a universal app, the same feature is being offered on both PCs and mobile phones.

If you are already running the Twitter app on your phone or PC, simply update it from the Store to get the GIF support.

All GIFs are provided by Giphy and are part of a very large collection that you can access by simply searching using the box at the top of the library.

At first glance, GIF support is working quite smoothly on Microsoft’s latest Windows 10 Mobile flagships, and we refer here to the Lumia 950 and 950 XL, but on phones with lower specs, there might be a little bit of a performance issue in some cases.
