However, according to The Wall Street Journal, Bixby’s voice recognition features are lagging behind.
We knew that Bixby was not going to come up with voice features for their release date, but they were expected to arrive by the end of May. We are already in June, and according to sources close to the WSJ newspaper, the recognition of English could be delayed until the end of June.
Bixby, I do not understand
It seems that the reason why Bixby’s English functions are going to take longer than expected is related to his ability to understand the language. According to WSJ sources, internal tests show that Bixby is having trouble understanding English grammar and syntax.
Considering that English is not one of the languages with a more complicated grammar, it is not clear how Bixby’s supposed inability to learn languages can be affected when we are still waiting for him to learn Spanish.
As a comparative note, the Google Assistant does not speak Spanish either – except in Allo – but at least he is quite skilled with the language of Shakespeare.
