Apparently what could be the first image of the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 “Founders Edition” graphics card was leaked thanks to KittyYukko ‘s Twitter profile, the advocate of various advances in the hardware field.

The alleged NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Founders Edition graphics card appears wrapped in the plastic casing, so it’s a bit difficult to grasp all the details but comparing the cooling system to that of the GeForce RTX 3080 FE we can certainly see a big change.

Although the overall coverage is very similar to the existing Founders Edition of the RTX 30 series, the new RTX 4080 appears to integrate a module much more similar in size to that of the RTX 3090, the higher-end model of the previous generation.

Specifically, the Founders Edition cooler, or FE, appears to feature a dual-slot design but comes with a thicker package, with a wider cooler and cover, as well as much larger 7-frame fans. blades (compared to 9 of the previous generation). The card also appears to incorporate a slightly revised “RTX 4080” logo over that of the RTX 3080 series.

It seems NVIDIA is really planning to reuse its existing coolers and tweak them a bit like the RTX 4090 Ti shield we have. previously seen for the Ada Lovelace GPU.

Nvidia will officially announce the new cards of the RTX 40 line during the upcoming GTC 2022, which will be held from 19 to 22 September. We leave you to the alleged technical specifications that have emerged to date.
