The new Fitbit Versa will bet on OLED and Alexa

The new Fitbit Versa will bet on OLED and Alexa and will be the closest in design to the Apple Watch we have seen so far, according to the filtration published in evleaks.

The Fitbit Versa was the company’s best smartwatch, but it still lagged behind the category leader, the Apple Watch. A good mirror to look at, no doubt, and what we see in the images is what Fitbit has bet on at least in the design section.

The biggest change will be the new AMOLED screen that will significantly improve the LCD of the original Versa. The removal of the Fitbit logo that used to be at the bottom of the screen is also positive. New is the 2.5D curved glass cover, the improved chassis design and the only button that incorporates in front of the three that the previous one sported. That said: the trend towards the design that marks the Apple Watch.

The other notable novelty that leaves us the leak is the support for Alexa. Amazon dominates voice assistants in extension and technology and should help Fitbit reach competitors, such as Apple (Siri) itself and devices with Google Assistant.

Other features are known from previous Fitbit wearables, such as the PurePulse heart rate sensor, which will be charged through a patented inductive cable. It will also support Fitbit Pay, the payment system of the company with which you can link cards to pay through NFC without the need to carry our wallet, and just bring the watch to the payment terminal.

Fitbit continues to have complicated positioning of its products since it dominated the market with its activity wristbands. Today, these are pressed by economic models such as Xiaomi, while smartwatches have yet to make a leap in front of the Apple Watch or Samsung models. The new Fitbit Versa can be a good starting point.
