The security patch that solves the KRACK vulnerability reaches the Nexus and Pixel

Nexus and Pixel

Google releases the new security update for the month of November for the Nexus and Pixel.

This is the latest version of their monthly security patches but it is interesting because this month they correct a very important vulnerability that we were talking about a few weeks ago.

The Google security patches of November (06-11-2017) correct the KRACK (Key Reinstallation Attacks) vulnerability that affected the WiFi WPA2 protocol.

To date manufacturers such as Apple or Microsoft had already updated their systems, also ROMs such as LineageOS or MIUI 9 are protected from this vulnerability for a few weeks. But Google had already warned that until this month would not correct the vulnerability.

Multiple bug fixes are included in this security patch. A total of 53 according to the latest security bulletin. It is available for devices upgraded to Android 8.0 Oreo such as Pixel 2, Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Pixel, and Nexus Player.

Those users who have a Nexus or a Pixel we recommend that you go to Settings> Phone information> Check for updates and check that they are updated. It can also be done manually by downloading the factory images that are already available from the official website.

It is appreciated that the different manufacturers have put the batteries to communicate better and update the phones.

Unfortunately, this vulnerability affects all Android 6.0 or higher that have not been corrected and although the high range is protected, many other devices will not be updated.
