Microsoft has started deploying a new firmware update for its 2-in-1 Surface Pro 4.
It is uncommon for these updates to appear as functional novelties, but this is one of those exceptional cases.
Now in the system tray, there is a horizontal slider that allows you to easily switch from one energy saving plan to another.
There are other novelties, but for the moment the changelog is just generic: at the time the article was written, the update history page on the Microsoft site has not been updated with the usual details – version number and detailed description.
At least we know which drivers have been updated, that is:
- Surface Management Engine
- Surface Embedded Firmware Controller
- Surface UEFI
- Surface Pen Pairing
- Surface Accessory Device
- Marvell AVASTAR Bluetooth Radio Adapter
- Marvell AVASTAR Wireless AC Controller
- Intel HD Graphics 520
- Intel Display Audio
- Surface Integration
