Xiaomi Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 will be presented this Sunday, August 4th: the news is official, even if the name is provisional: a couple of teasers have been published on the Weibo account of the laptop division of Xiaomi. Instead, go to the rumors to find out the technical details: on the Net we talk about three possible configurations, a top range, one in the middle and an entry-level.

The common denominator is the ninth generation Intel Core processors, 144 Hz displays and the latest generation NVIDIA RTX / GTX GPUs. Full details:

Top version:

  • Ninth-generation Intel Core i7 CPU
  • NVIDIA RTX 2060
  • 16 GB of RAM at 2,666 MHz
  • 512 GB of SSD
  • 144 Hz display

Intermediate version:

  • Ninth-generation Intel Core i7 CPU
  • NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti
  • 16 GB of RAM at 2,666 MHz
  • 512 GB of SSD
  • 144 Hz display

Basic version:

  • Ninth Generation Intel Core i5 CPU
  • NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti
  • 8 GB of RAM at 2,666 MHz
  • 512 GB of SSD
  • 144 Hz display

The first generation of the handset was introduced in March 2018; in our review, we defined it as a very valid gaming product, with more than solid performance and few real flaws (60 Hz display was one of the main ones).

Economic prices considering the technical data sheet, but the import problem remains. We hope that with the second generation Xiaomi opts for distribution outside the Chinese market; we will know something more in a few days.
